I went through 4 motherboards on my 939 setup in 2 years, bloody ridiculous tbh.

I really want something uber stable,

How far do you think this setup will go?

Q6600 G0, Ip-35 pro, Arctic Freezer 7 pto, 4gb OCZ pc6400 rev2

Any chance of 3.5ghz?

sid

would have thought so.

would have thought so.

Lastly, Would my mileage be affected by going for the vanilla IP-35 instead of the pro version? I really don't need the extra features. But I've learnt the hard way that a good motherboard is worth extra.

Cheers easy,

i guess i should cross my fingers and just order then.

I had it looping 3D mark 06 over night, done rendering work and played Bioshock all at 3.8GHz. To me it's stable, because it does everything i want with no problems. But i'll prime it over night just to shut you lot up

Playing games doesn't make a system stable. I thought that until coming to these forums. Then I primed it. Boom! Then thanks to these forums I now have a better clock and IT IS PRIME STABLE!

No, an Asus Blitz is very expensive ;)

The Ip-35 Pro is a great board for quads, I've had a couple of the top end P35 boards and the Pro needed less vcore than the others.

Btw, older cpu-z versions report incorrect vcore values. Try 1.40.8 onwards.

I'm sure he said p5k not blitz.....;)

Would stick with the abit though i found a p35 dq6 for £99 :)

Q6600 G0 and Abit IP35 arrived. Sat at 3.2GHz @ 1.4v. Will leave it testing overnight and continue tomorrow evening :) Temps are 2-4c lower than the B3 (which was at stock volts).

Well I can't seem to get my L725BO13 stable either, I'm trying at:-

430 x 8 (3440) with a 1:1.20 multiplier and I just can't seem to find a stable spot :(, even with the memory at 1:1 (DDR2-860) I can't seem to get stable!

Vcore is at 1.395 (BIOS) shows at 1.288 in CPU-Z

stable here so far at 3.6ghz 1.45v (will tweak this later) temps full load using core temp are nice at 55c small fft prime:)

This chip is running so much cooler than my QX6700 that would hit 75c @ 3.6ghz with the same water setup.

Just got mine today guys, G0 stepping

An hour ago whacked it on to 400x8 at stock volts, on an Asus Blitz Formula, played some bioshock and stalker, seems ok so far, will run prime overnight though

But chances of it being stable on stock volts at 3.2?

Try it and see.:)

TTIUWP!

Come on guys gives us some Prime screenshots or at least some PI runs and don't forget the week codes.

Well after much tearing out the hair on my already bald head, ive got to 3.9.

Swopped my memory for mates and now at 433 x 9 under water.

Temps hitting 60 degrees under full load, but that loop also got the 8800 and northbridge in it. Only critisicm of the Asus Blitz is the lack of ram dividers, why oh why oh why!

If it holds up over night then ill post some stability pics and be purchasing some new ram. Anyone need 2 x 2gb OCZ ;)
