LOL I know what you mean, my 14 month old, thinks its some kind of game to press the reset button

The kid does it for a reaction. He/she likes the reaction he/she gets when its pushed. Show no emotion or bother and it will stop. A second corse could be that he/she needs attenchen that its not getting. But thats a differnt matter that only you can decide.

I used to be just as bad :) when i was taken shoping in places like sainsburrys i used to put everything in the cart. They would get to the check out with 50 things they didn't want. I also managed to steal a mans newspaper from under his arm while in the que without him noticing. he was amazed :) lol.

2.91ghz out of my Q6600 with the stock heatsink and fan, im quite happy with that :) .... reckon I might get a decent clock out of it if I buy a decent cpu cooler.

Around 45c idle, and 72c after 30 minutes on 100% load using a chess program (fritz).. Thats today. (using everest for temps)

It reached 78c on orthos yesterday, but it was 28c outside and even hotter in my room, so im not too worried about that temp. The cpu doesnt throttle untill 85c, and orthos always gets it a few degrees warmer than on 100% load using other programs etc.

So I would say from 70 to 75c on load depending on the weather :)

I have replaced the thermal paste on the stock heatsink though, and my case is a Antec 900.

How much would a decent cpu cooler lower my temps you reckon? 10c?

What a weekend, spent two days trying to get temps down, and finally done it. Here's a quick test @ 3.4, 1.44 vcore. Notice the huge drop in temps from the 3.3 screenshots. It was 9 hours stable, but I didn't save the jpg. (Yes I know, "you've heard it all before")

I must have lost two buckets of sweat in that room, just hope now I can try for 3.5/3.6.

Well, in a few words, I removed the rad, and put a fan either side, then, I changed the side fan, from suck to blow.

I tried every fan in all postions (suck and blow) and the results you can see.
I also lapped the waterblock, that didn't do anything, even though it wasn't flat. But now it idles at 43.40.40.42. (kicking the dog didn't help either).
