A little surprised at the time it took; was it not due in January then February. At least it's here. I guess the S5 must have shifted priorities.

I tried to install v17 of Echoe Rom (4.4.2). It went on ok but had no wifi and lost root. I had KT Kernel selected and supersu had no binaries installed. As im on the pre-knox bootloader I selected everything I shouldve but no joy :(

Luckily I restored my backup of Omega Rom.

I had issues with the WIFI (wouldnt enable) on v17, but after I picked KT Kernel and BTU as the CSC (one of the options on the installer) it all started working fine..

whats that BTu thing do?

My understanding it that it is the Region code for the phone.. BTU being the code used for UK (none carrier specific).

United Kingdom= BTU, EVR (EE), BTC, CPW (Carphone Warehouse), H3G, O2I, O2U (O2), ORA (Orange), OXA*, TMU (T-Mobile), TSC, VIR, VOD (Vodafone), XEU

I am not sure how it will effect anything on the phone (it might not), but.

andy_mk3 & Scope - when you installed Echoe did you update the bootloader to the latest one or are you still on a pre-knox one??

I just updated the bootloader a couple of months ago as im not bothered if I trigger knox or not, also being on the latest bootloader should result in less problems when you go custom roms. I am currently on NA5 (so not quite the latest, but certainly Knox'ed).

V17 of Echoe is supposed to work with the old bootloader though, you just need to pick the right kernel.

FOR USERS ON OLD B/L: Use one of the Custom Kernels offered in Aroma Installation either KT kernel or Jeboo kernel. If you will flash the I9505VJUFNB2 Modem, just flash the modem.bin and not the non-hlos.bin.

I flashed the modem and selected KT Kernel as above. Its still confusing as why it works for some and not others :)

Ill flash again after work in the morning and see. Thanks for reply!

Well just updated with Kies to 4.2.2 BTU and now the purple tinge is back when scrolling in contacts and messages.

Anybody else got this or is it just me?, getting a bit miffed with this phone now fix a problem then it comes back on the next update.:(

I've had nothing but trouble with this phone week signal, signal dropping from full bars to none, lots of stutter, memory card corrupting and formatting its self and now the purple tinge is back.

Wished I kept my S2 now.
