What does that mean for us sim free buyers? If 3 will sell me one sim free then I'm game.

They will sell you one on PayG but I think they might be simlocked to 3. If the Exynos version will be available on a network then I'm pretty certain they will be available in retail channels through the normal retailers. I'm unable to get any concrete info though, that's just my hunch.

I already have the Note 2 16gb with a 64gb card. The problem is that I have to root it in order to have more than gameloft game installed on it.

Ideally I just want the 64gb version so I don't have to root it. It gets annoying rerooting everytime a new update comes out.

What does that mean, more than gameloft game?

Super SU (paid) keeps root after OTA updates I think

Don't get what you mean? Why does installing a game need root?

Isn't he making reference to the inability to install apps on the SD card unless you are rooted?

But you don't have to be rooted to do that, you just click move the SD and you're done... and most big games I've seen download their extra files to the SD card anyway!

You run out of space VERY quick when you install gameloft games, and he has a good point which is why I only bother installing 1-2 gameloft games at a time.

No game I've ever installed has put extra files on SD card, which phone have you done this with?

I've got about 6 Gameloft games on my SGS2, along with 20+ non Gameloft games...

moves part of the apk to internal sd + game data is always on internal sd not external.

That's around 8GB storage used on just gameloft games there, aren't they between 1-2GB each? Doesn't really bother me, like I said I only install a few big games at a time on my Note 2 but I can see why someone buying this and spending in excess of £500 would want the octo-core version with 32GB or 64GB internal. :)

due to recent news of no octo core for UK, i will definately be waiting until I/O google for motorola x or nexus 5

im not going to pay £450-£500 for an overpriced handset with no octo core.

when google will most likely subsidise the nexus or x for cheaper and similar spec.

We're getting both, it's even been talked about roughly 5 posts up from yours.

I'm surprised people are talking about the Nexus 5 already, the Nexus 4 has only been out for roughly 6 months and a good 2 months of those there was massive supply issues. The phone is selling very well so I don't understand why Google would release a new Nexus so quickly?

Even with the S4 out the Nexus 4 is still a great phone and at half the price it'll continue to sell.

Not anymore... newer versions of Android removed the "apps to SD" feature. Currently I have a 16gb Note 2, although only 10 gbs are available to the user. Games like Bard's Tale are well over 3gb and considering every app gets saved on the phone with no option to move to the SD card you run out of space fast.

Therefore you have to root in order to store games on the SD card now. I'm rooted and I use an app called Directory Bind to move large games to my SD card. However with a 64gb S4 I wouldn't have to bother with directory bind or even rooting. Rooting after every update is a pain in the ass.
