Anyone else using Songbird with FLAC files?
All my music is FLAC, and when playing with Songbird I regularly get

Mediacore error
Songbird encountered a playback error.
Could not decode stream.

Odd thing is that it is totally random, and is not related to particular files - sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
It does happen about 50% of the times I double click a track to play.
Posting this message via Songbird :)

Ive been using this program for a day or so now, and the only problem i have with it is, that it keeps crashing when im trying to sync with my iPod, anyone any ideas what could be causing this?

i get the odd 'blip' at the start of some of my mp3's in songbird, not enough to put me off it totally

-this blip is not there in winamp

OK for me. Is your iPod already plugged in when you run Songbird? Latest firmware for the iPod?

Blip? As in a sound? Or a gap in playback?

I've fixed the crashing problem (sort of)

It seem's it just doesnt want to sync when i have music playing also. Whether this is a Songbird thing, or just a "My system" thing, i dont know...

I've also solved my problem of FLAC files not playing. (on x64)
It was due to the lyrics plugin. When it downloads the lyrics for the first time, it fails to play the track. Play it again, having saved the lyrics, and no problems.

I gave it a quick try, it seems quite nice but offers no reason for me to switch from Winamp at the moment. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it develops to more though :)

I'm still using winamp most of the time myself, but this has finally allowed me to start sorting my huge collection :).

Im thinking about taking a look at Songbirds plugins and might write a winamp interface like MediaMonkey has.
