*** The Official Steam Deck Thread ***

No but if you criticise and label all youtubers with the same piint brush, then that means you know better than all of them right?

Please make a youtube channel so we can get the correct information from you instead because remember, David2D doesn't actually know what he's talking about like every other tech influencer.
Guessing you're a tech influencer

I admit I preferred the button feel on the original LCD deck compared to my OLED, especially the dpad. They work fine, but they feel slightly janky compared to the LCD. The paddle buttons underneath require a lot of pressure to click too so they're not that comfy. The thumbsticks are a huge improvement though.

Still in love with the device though, and amazed how capable it is.

I really want an OLED, but I kind of fear about the next best thing around the corner… I use my Steam Deck all the time, so I think it would be a good investment, but I worry about something coming out soon that I’d end up wanting instead :D

Same here, I've tried justifying going to an OLED but can't cross the line - my LCD is just great!

Popped some Gulikit sticks on tonight, feel really nice. My left stick had developed a horrible feeling, that no amount of cleaning could correct.

Can anyone recommend some side scrolling shooters to play on the deck
Something that is easy pick up and play but challenging
Not quite a side scrolling shooter, but try Towerfall, awesome game and plays beautifully on SD.
Broforce?
Risk of rain 1?
There should be a fair few but I cant think of others right now.

This looks great but I'm not sure about SD compatibility.

Is there a comprehensive list of the best games to have on the Steam Deck, doesn't have to be the likes of Cyberpunk or Elden Ring - I go away next week and would love to have something to play when travelling.
