****The Official The Wolverine Thread ****

The Origins movie was a mess because it seems the studio didn't have faith in the character and/or Hugh Jackman to present the story alone. So it became another X-Men movie with loads of supporting characters.

Logan/Weapon X is a fascinating story and deserves to be done justice on the big screen. It introduced Elektra into the Marvel Universe, (another dire movie adaptation), and Daredevil was featured too (see previous).

This one sounds more promising as its taking place in Japan but I would like it to be as good as at least Iron Man 1, or Avengers.

Why does Wolverine get his own movie again? In my opinion, he's the most boring of the X-Men :p

Hugh Jackman looks like a beast in that photo though

Certainly interested to see this now that it's supposed to take place after X-Men: The Last Stand.

I didn't realise that till the other day when more details started to emerge...

"Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern-day Japan," the synopsis reads.

"Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.

"Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before."

The Wolverine, which sees Hugh Jackman reprise his role as the iconic anti-hero, will take place after the events of Bryan Singer's X-Men trilogy and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Really excited to see where Fox go with this and X-Men: Days of Future Past

I can't remember how the film timelines differ from the comics... are Matsuo or Yuriko likely to pop up in this?
