I spoke to someone in CPW and he'd "got an e-mail about iPhones this morning, but wasn't sure what was happening". His guess for a PAYG was £400 though.
Did you ask them about PAYG Justin?
o2 admintted there was a PAYG offer on the cards but he said "you'll find out before we know if you keep an eye on the web"
So basically I wont be able to send pics or receive them via mms? WTF?
No Bluetooth either?
Camera is pants as well I have to say.
Im not sure if I want this phone or or not now![]()
I really want one of these 3G iPhones but im shocked with reading this article:
The bad news
There are, though, still some omissions that could be significant, depending on what you use your phone for. The iPhone 3G certainly won’t be competing with Sony Ericsson’s Cyber-shot camphones – its camera remains a 2MP affair, with no flash or autofocus. There’s also still no MMS texting, A2DP Bluetooth, flash support, video recording or built-in iChat.

Nope. You can by email. I confess I've never really taken photos so the lack of MMS and crap camera don't bother me in the slightest. Besides, any MMS I've received has been woeful quality anyway. So basically I wont be able to send pics or receive them via mms? WTF?
Bluetooth for headsets, other than that - no. Or you'd be sending your mp3s to people - not good, apparently! No Bluetooth either?
Camera...i carry a camera in my bag, the one in it does fine all other times.
You're all slow... and I did nicer quoting!![]()
Ok, ok. You win. You're all slow... and I did nicer quoting!![]()
You can use MMS, but it needs jailbreaking. So standard out of the box affair has no MMS.
Bluetooth....I lived without it fine the past 2 months

I agree that it would be nice to have all of the above and they really should have considering it is a flagship product of sort, and more reason as it is a v2 product so its not like they never had user feedback on it.
Word of warning though - in it's current incarnation, its incredibly user unfriendly. It 'works'... just not nice to use!You jailbreak the phone so that files can be written to it. Then you can use Installer to install SwirlyMMS, which allows you to send and recieve MMS messages.
Is this easy 'jailbreaking' to do?

? How
As far as I can see it, apple have entirely solved the problems they were having:
1. If you want a cheap iPhone (ranging from free on a £75/m contract to around £100 on cheaper ones for an 8Gb), you can have one. But you HAVE to sign the contract in store/online before getting it. You have to do that with any phone - e.g. N95 for free, when its RRP is £400+.
2. As apple can't stop people unlocking them (the v2 betas are already jailbroken), and don't want to lose out on possible money making, they'll sell it on Pay as you Go. It won't be cheap, but you will be able to walk out of the store without signing up to anything.
