If it helps put it in perspective, I sent mine Monday, they got it Tuesday and it was at my house Friday morning. You have the weekend to break up the days but hopefully you'll have it midweek.

how do you do this I can't find the option?
 
Launch the ATI Control panel so you have the icon in the system tray.

Right Click it, I think it's Hardware -> Overclocking -> Fan Control.

Just another quick question Machine, and thanks for you input so far. Did they send you an email telling you your RMA was shipped, or did it just show up at the door. Thanks.
 
im playing farcry and im still geting tearing vsync is on in the game but i cant find vsync on the card or is it the (wait for vertical refresh) if so thats on aswell

I sent mine on monday, got the email stating they had received it Tuesday and have heard nothing since :(

Use "always on" for wait for verticle refresh. Thats a sure way to stop tearing i found.
 
yea i know but in some games the picture shakes when you are using the mouse left/right/up/down ive got a new gfx card and new ram will have monday,if that doesent fix it i dont know.

ive been talking to someone and he seems to think i should be playing games at 1152x864 due to the model of my crt, my model of crt is imagequest q995

does this have any affect on the game

Looking at your monitor online, I'd say your mate is wrong. You need 4:3 Aspect Ratios, like 1280x1024, in fact 1280x1024 @ 85hz is recommended for this monitor. [Source]

1280x1024 is 5:4, so that's wrong. but it does seem common among crt's to have that as an optimal res.... :confused: :p

1152x864 is fine as is 1280x960, they are both 4:3. :)
 
but if i have it on 1280x960 everything is so small very hard to read things unless you can enlarge everything?

in quake 4 you dont have 1280x960

don't worry about that. my reply was more of a response to the previous poster, not you. 1152x864 is one of the correct resolutions to be using on that monitor so stick with it. :)
 
ok so that means what ever game i play its got to be in 1152x864 and do i still leave the refresh rate at 85hertz
