mine must have been faulty as ive just got a email saying its being dispatched quite fast aswell as they got it on thursday

I'm sure they have seen/heard your problem with other cards and know how to test them by now. Doubt you'll have any worries mate. Let us know what happens when you get your card back.

All is good! Just had to back off on the gpu clock speeds.
This can drive you crazy! The temps in the my house are about 10F higher(warmer) and the pc will crash cause of that! I have the windows open and the A/C off, its been about 65f, but today its a dry 75f and CRASH!
Water cooling, MMMMmmmm, I'm not to happy with the idea of mixing water with my pc, My fish tank pumps and tubing look about the same, and that scares me to death!!

well got it back allready, no fan clipping noise looks like they might of tested it as well, also the vga dongle is different to the one i had before also got a svhs plug

so far im happy ill have a even bigger smile if i do get a refund for posting it

Was it shrink wrapped when you received it? Mine was and I haven't seen a refund for shipping yet and it was sent on Feb 13th. Glad you got your problem sorted. :)

RMA mine yesterday. It stopped having the black screen after I upped the fan speed but then after a week I suddenly got small black diamonds across the screen in games after about 5 minutes. I was able to shutdown the games I was playing (CoD2 and NWN2) and reboot the machine. Tried different drivers 6.12 and 7.1, But each would only last a couple of minutes then same would happen. I let you know what happens.

oyea mine was so it couldn/t of been tested the reason i thought it has was because the two cds had been opened,i thought as it was opened they must have tested it,but of course not as it was shrink wrapped

I just got an HIS 1950pro 512mb in exchange for a 1900xt 512mb that went faulty.

But it seems I got the "rattling" fan problem, I pushed the cooler in a bit on the card and it seemed to have fixed it but i can hear its coming back.

This is really annoying as the card is really quiet and the "rattle" isnt as loud anymore it still sounds wrong and weird and you can notice it.

So has any one had any problems RMA a "rattle" card? Have you all received a card that worked ok or did you get another "rattler"?

Just sent off my rattling HIS x1950 pro 512mb yesterday for a replacement, will let you know if i get another rattler. Anyone have any idea of the turnaround of these RMAs? They're great cards, handled everything i threw at it at full graphics settings, AA and AF at 1280x1024. If only HIS had fewer dodgy fans they'd be perfect!

Yes, the problem became progressively worse on mine as well until I finally had to underclock the card to make it stable. I was also getting some artifacts when running 3Dmark05 and I didn't even realize it until I received my RMA back and saw how it was really suppose to look. With the bad card I was getting small white flecks in the floor of the first Proxycon Test and didn't give it much thought. Never had a bad card that was artifacting before so I guess I've been pretty lucky. I was also under the impression that artifacts were larger.

Anyway, good luck with your card numbster. When you get the new one back I'm sure you'll be very happy. The new one I recieved is perfect with a Cooler which works as advertised. Let us know how you make out next week. OverclockerUK has an outstanding turnaround time for these RMA's.

I would order items from the USA for the exchange rate price difference (if Customs didn't slap on an additional fee), but I can't believe someone would buy items from the UK to USA.

Was the product not available in America?

Yes it was available in the USA, but believe it or not, when OverclockersUK put it on sale, it was actually cheaper to order from them than to purchase locally online, even with the inflated shipping costs. No VAT of course.

Thanks for the tip Wigster, I'll drop them a webnote and see what happens.

I just overclocked my friends VisionTek X1950 PRO XGE 256MB
I used RaBiT.v2.2.1 and now it is Clocked @ 651 / 1498
I upped the speed of the fan by 10% for each temp. and VDDC voltage from 1.300 to 1.325
This is wonderful! So far no problems!
amd 2500xp @ 2333 and 1gb ram
3Dmark3 13860
3Dmark5 7780
3Dmark6 4020
My friend is in gaming heaven and I got a six pack out-of-it
Party on

Update
Those scores are ran on 6.12
7.2 are about 2% higher!
This is great deal, He only paid $179, it was a "open box" @ best buy
I would have to say it is almost good as my turbo, but it does have 256mb less.
This turned out to be a great deal. :D

Should have my MSI X1950 pro arriving tommorrow from jrodga2k5 for the stunning price of £77.50! Dual slot cooler is a little bit of a bummer, but for that price I can't complain.

Wow Hxc. Extremely nice price on the MSI. Did you order it from here? Haven't seen any information around on the MSI X1950 Pro yet. What kind of Dual-Slot Cooler does it have on it? Similar to the HIS ICEQ3? If were you I wouldn't be so bummed about the cooler. Exhausting the hot air from the card outside the case isn't a bad idea. Let me know how you do with it.
