The One, the Only Street Figheter 2 Arcade thread

Usually I would say that games like this you can already buy on a million formats (I still treasure my SNES copy of SF2), however the possibility of playing this on Live is quite exciting. You can play it on Live, can't you?

I think all future Speakers Corners debates should be settled at the stalemate stage with some SF2 action :)
I just hope the tree huggers are rubbish at it lol.

will only buy when a decent controller for it is readily available. The 360 dpad is apalling! I try using it for street fighter 2 on the Pc and the SNES dpad simply spanks the pants off of it.

Shame really.

I prefer the X-Arcade style 2 player setups myself although that looks pretty good. How much was it?
That's what I'm after. The doa4 one doesn't impress me really.

And why would you play street fighter with an anologue stick

I got the DOA4 stick. I really hope it is useful for SF2. If not I think I may have to sell it. I bought it when I got DOA4 and that game only occupied me for about 10 minutes.

Prior to this I had for years the NAMCO arcade stick for ps1 (was also used heavily on PS2) . That had a great arcade feel for both Tekken and SF2 games. This one feels the same, but due to severe lack of beat em ups on the 360 not reall y had a chance to put it through it's paces.

Maybe expect to see a DOA4 game + DOA4 joystick combo on MM in the next few days!!!!

i honestly cant wait for this, many OCUK tourneys must be held, i will be online all of 2mora night

been practising on my old sega version, know a few of the special moves :p

Because the D-pad on the Xbox 360 is rubbish and inaccurate. It's fine for scrolling through inventory in games like Hitman but it's pretty much useless for precise movement in beat 'em ups. I tend to use the analogue stick for DoA4 these days.

As far as control pads go, I don't think you can beat the old 6-button megadrive pad for SF2. All 6 buttons laid out in a logical fashion and a decent D-pad for fireballs. :)

I found the snes one to be far more precise.
