Hi,

The only thing that puts me off mainly about going over to Ubuntu full time is the fonts/theme. It just looks so different to windows and mac and im used to that. Could I download the windows 8 fonts and import them to Ubuntu somehow? If so would it look as fresh, font wise, as windows 8 then?

you can use any font from windows in ubuntu, you just need to copy it to your users ~/.fonts folder, then you can use the system tools of your DE to change fonts, i dont know what font windows 8 uses but windows 7 used one called Segoe UI.
