So how great is it then?

I've not played it really, Played the PC version of half life 2 and loved it.

And I'm tempted to go out and buy it, Just wondering how good it is that's all. Do the controls translate well to the 360? There are a lot of games around at the moment, My brother just got PGR and Forza 2, And he's wanting me to pick up the same, so we can get some Multiplayer gaming going, But I kinda want Orange Box too, And can't really afford all 3.

There's no multiplayer with Orange Box, but the game in itself is tempting. I'm buying something tomorrow, and it will either be, Orange Box, 5 games in 1 box, Or PGR and Forza 2.

Just stuck on the fence, I hate walking into a games shop and standing there for 20 minutes trying to make a decision :p
 
Buy it - it's the best value for money ever. Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2 are worth the money alone. Portal is an experience not to be missed, you're looking (and playing) a piece of gaming history, and TF2 is a laugh with friends over XBL (not the best MP game, but still an enjoyable one on a Friday night with beers).

It's been ported from the PC absolutely flawlessly.
 
Damn, haven't finished (or really even started Mass Effect), got COD4 for xmas day and playing through MoH: Airborne rental at the moment, wish you hadn't said it can be had so cheap... must resist.

A guy at work was selling his pre-used Asian copy for £15. So I bought this. I guess I can play the HL2 bits anytime as they are SP, but I wanted to try this Portal everyone bangs on about, and Team Fortress 2 looks like it could be fun.

Yes there is. Team Fortress 2 is Multiplayer.

The game got 97% in an Xbox360 magazine I picked up a couple of months back, and for me I think every Xbox360 owner should own it purely for what it offers, 5 games for the price of one.
 
Compeleted Portal, Ep1 and Ep 2 for the 360 recently. Love the orange box. Don't think I like TF very much but for 5 games in one box it is my game of the year.

Bioshock
Any game where it uses music as the main feature. Stepmania, Boom Boom Rocket etc

Xbox:
JSRF
Breakdown
and others.. lol

I love games. I just hate games that go backwards or are crap :D

Couldn't agree more, and the only area where I think the PC would be the better option as map-packs can be added whereas on the console they can't.

Having said that, it's still quite a long game in way of challenges. Don't forget you've 6 levels of advanced methods, fastest time, lowest steps and least number of portals. So for the hardened gamer, it should suffice a while.

But for me, the news that the Portal gun is an introduction to Episode3 and/or HalfLife3 means that the experience hasn't stopped in Portal.
