Now that I've upgraded my monitor (finally), I really want to buy this game(s). I see a certain online bookstore has this for £12.97 including delivery, but I live in China. I would have thought it could be possible to buy online and download this. But I've been searching for 2 hours and have found no way to do this.

Is it possible?

Steam is the only way to pay and download it, and even then the game requires it when installed. It will cost slightly more, but this is the only way.

Thanks, I feared this was the only way!

I was just suprised that it's £20.47 to download when it's £12.97 to have the DVD delivered (to UK)!

EDIT : £16.99! I didn't see it for that! Do you have a link?

I guess because you are accessing the website from way outside of the UK by being in China, and so the US price version is the only way it can get to. I don't know if there is a work around to this though.

Just get it from steam if you cant find a boxed copy, which you would still need steam for. Its worth it and its still a bargain.

Have a look in this thread http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17997352

Orange Box is available for about £10

They finally contacted me and sent me a link for me to buy it at the UK price (£16.99). It now appears in my Steam account.

I'm looking forward to playing this, but not too sure which is the correct order. Is it the following?

Half Life 2
Half Life 2 : Lost Coast
Half Life 2 : Episode 1
Half Life 2 : Episode 2

Glad to see you sorted it out and yeah, thats the order.

Lost Coast is more of a technical showcase and was originally supposed to be in the main Half Life 2 game anyways, so it doesn't matter too much for that.

i've had the same problem with my steam account (korea). I usually got someone to log into my account in the uk and buy then log out. Trusted friend of course.

Also G2play thingy worked ok for me (L4D), jus wished more people would play it in korea! They get a bit kicky if you can't speak korean.
