just completed this on my PS4 Pro and can’t believe I hadn’t played it before. I have a high end pc (4K screen) and had every console just about ever made but man the graphics in this game are absolutely incredible the attention to detail and atmosphere created really are something I am disappointed there won’t be a sequel.

I’m still trying to figure out what wizardry they used to be so far ahead graphically do you think as they are only using the middle of the screen due to the black borders they were able to up the detail?

It was all the dark textures which makes the graphics stand out.

Still one of the best looking PS4 games I have played.

Couldn't agree more - I never finished it, so recently restarted it - it looks incredible; and in some ways [imo] out dos some of the more recent titles. It very much strikes me as a showcase game for the new system, and some titles since, have not topped it's graphics.

It was a great looking game, sadly it was more a graphical showcase then an actual game with any depth.

What was there was fairly decent ish, it wasn't a great game but its graphics were a benchmark when the PS4 was released and it was released on the launch PS4 - which for the time was incredible.

I enjoyed it but had I paid full price for it then it would be different story.

Yeah sadly I did. And it was pretty much the end of me pre - ordering or buying anymore games at full price. I have since then tended to wait a few months or more since then, hence why I'm now always mostly late to the party with many games. I do still buy games that aren't on sale, but nowhere near as much as I was. Sales come so quickly anyhow. The game has been on PS + I think and you can grab it in nearly all PS Store sales for less then a tenner nowadays.

Same here on buying games, I tend to only pay full price on new releases if its a top game that comes along very rarely, such as games like Red dead redemption/GTA or Forza Horizon I know I will enjoy them and get many hrs of playtime. Most other games I can wait for sales. At present Im playing Rise of The Tomb Raider that I got in the black Friday sales.

I bought it cheap and I quite enjoyed it. Not the best game I've ever played but far from the worst. It's a looker that's for sure.

It really does pay to be patient. Last game I pre-ordered was Fallout 4.

Agreed, it's a beautiful game and the photo mode is superb. Here are some of my screenshots:

I'm honestly not sure why it received as much criticism as it did. I played it shortly after getting bored with MGS5's repetitiveness, at which point I was in the mood for a simple, story-driven linear game so The Order was ideal for that. It clearly had shortfalls and there wasn't a great deal of innovation in the gameplay, but visually it was excellent, the level design was solid and the storyline was decent enough.

Game length. I found the game length to be fine and didn't overstay its welcome. (Looks at MGS5)
