*** The OS X Lion Thread ***

Why has the scrolling been inverted?

How do I change it back?

Edit - Changed it (using an external mouse as trackpad doesn't work anymore!)

I can't get over how quick Safari is, it's ridiculous.

Downloading the 64 bit iTunes update, hopefully that will be quicker too.

Don't forget to go to text to speech and download the new voices. They sound much better. Got Samantha US on mine, half a gig download per voice though lol

Bootcamp won't let me partition the drive into two partitions now.

I remember having this problem before but can't remember what I did to get around it. Anyone got any ideas?

Is it possible to upgrade from leopard 10.5.8 to lion or do I need to install snow leopard & then lion after that?

It's currently indexing my HD over here on my 4GB uMacbook so OS use is somewhat sluggish. Had to invert the scrolling asap the moment I got into the desktop though.

Love the four finger side swiping for switching through desktops.

Finally installed, first question how do you change the inverted scrolling?

EDIT: nvm sorted it, just un-check scroll direction: natural under the trackpad options

I'm attempting to download now, its been buffering for 10 mins now before I even input my PW so the servers must be getting hammered.

Inverted scrolling is ace after a couple of days use, I set mine a few weeks back via MagicPrefs. They changed it to match iOS, so you're essentially pulling/pushing the content on the screen - I like it.

Depends on the hard drive, for me it wouldnt do it on my ssd :( so I had to make the partition at install and then run bootcamp to tell it there was some free space already there for it

Chrome scrolling now feels a bit 'gritty' to me. Going to play around with Safari a bit and see how it goes.

The gestures are going to take a lot of getting used to - it's very different from using Spaces/Exposé. A bit annoying that downswipe for Exposé then another downswipe doesn't put things back where they were like it used to. In fact, Exposé doesn't seem to work at all - it's just showing me one window (Safari) not all the other windows I have open.

Has anyone figured out how to get rid of your name/login options in the menu bar?

with the magic mouse how do you swipe to go back and forward through pages you've visited in safari..?

Also have you noticed when typing it comes up with suggestions for words...
