Had to RMA my 570 earlier this year so found my old 8800gts in the PC graveyard box and ressurected it in the oven, worked great, even oven-fixed my neighbours old 88oogts too so could play BF3 with sli, was a solid 40fps I recall, on low, and at 1280x1024 and overclocked, they both still work today.

a few heat cycles and it fails again

I got another year out of my 8800GTX.
