Depends on the games you play.
The 1070 is worth saving for as it is a nice bump in performance and can also do SLI.
Having said that I am using one of my 1060s at the moment and was playing Civ6 maxed out @2160p.
Having said that there are a lot games that will make a 1060 struggle at 2160p even with lower settings.
Here is my little FE 1060 @stock running Civ6 maxed out on the in game benchmark @2160p.
If you convert the frametime score to fps it is just under 50fps.
Having said that if I try the same on GOW4 I only get about 13 or 14fps.
