The Pascal GTX 1070 Owners Thread

Arrived today and fitted haven't even seen the fans move yet(only played this war of mine,i had awful jittering and slow down issues eith it before with a 280x and now it's butter smooth,very happy so far and my first nividia card.

I pre ordered a 1070 and then switched to a 1080 as they aren't a lot more £150 for a nice chunk more performance.bi run it at stock frequency with all settings maxed at 1440p with about 30-40% headroom on the titles I play.

Is the voltage locked on cards with custom PCBs like the EVGA FTW and iirc the KFA2 HOF?
 
If I'm honest I don't think you can go wrong with either a 980 Ti 1070 or 1080 as the majority of people that have these cards will be overclocking and with how well the Ti overclocks it'll match or beat out a overclocked 1070 losing only to 1080 and once overclocked all these 3 cards will really shine at 1440p and even 4k it'll have a very good go at. I tell you one thing though I'm really looking forward to big pascal!

Ordered the ridicolous GameRock Premier edition (which should appear in stock in a few hours), binned chips and single 8 pin - no frills and efficient cooler, all I wanted :D
I also love it because it looks like it came from 10 years ago, such an horrendous looking card it's just funny XD
Going to replace the 980Ti as I love cool cards (that's it really, also because I sold it months ago).

At 409 with those clocks and that cooler is almost the only card with decent value after Brexit.

Is the MSI Gaming X much better than the ARMOR? Price difference is like £30. What am I paying for? I have a closed case, so I'm not too bothered about backplate/looks.

Any AIB card is just as good as the others, small Pascal is very efficient and they're all voltage locked.

You can't go wrong with any card. That FTW won't give you anything more than a "simple" MSI Armor for example.
