The Pascal GTX 1070 Owners Thread

So you guys here that are quoting boost clock speeds of 2000+ that's with a manual overclock right, on top of what the card does on its own?

Mine is similar, I only get 2080. Anything over that crashes.

Anything over 2ghz is good IMO!

Yes there is not much left for a manual over clock on a factory OC AIB board after GPU Boost 3.0 has worked it's magic, but I would hardly call them poor overclockers when reference advertised boost is below 1700mhz :)

The gains over 2ghz are so small in FPS terms as well, its not worth worrying about. My MSI Gaming X 1070 can boost to 2151mhz in Valley but for every day use on a quiet fan profile it levels out around 2050 at the lowest at 75c which is still very good and smashes 1440p no problems!

Generally yes, although some of the top AIB cards and silicon lottery winners are boosting over 2ghz in ideal conditions without any tweaks

Generally 2050ghz seems the average OC level.

Not sure if my score of about 14,250 is any good looking at the above two results.

My cpu is at 4.5 and my GPU at stock (around 1936mhz)

Think running Windows 10 also gives a boost as do GPU and system memory.

2,000 - 2,100 mhz does seem to be the limit for 24/7 stable overclock on air. Even without the overclock i'm maxing out latest games at 60fps :)

System:
CPU: i7 3770k @ 4.4Ghz
16GB DDR3 @ 1800Mhz
MSI 1070 X Core @ 2050 Memory @ 4200
Windows 10 Pro

Really chuffed with Palit Gamerock Premium performance. Have noticed than on Firestrike my score is 5th out of around 80 with the 1070 and same processor (i5 4670k) - this is despite no additional overclocking above factory OC and my processor overclocked to a fairly conservative 4.1ghz. It's a great piece of kit, couldn't really ask for more.

Gamerock Premium boosts to 2038 with no manual overclock. Not that I'm complaining but advertised boost was only supposed be 1873 so was a little surprised by this. :)

These cards are pathetic overclockers. Mine maxes out at 2050.

Boost 3.0 is doing most of the job, it's just your perception - the cards are fine :D

The 980Ti went from 1000 to 1500, here we're from 1600 to 2100, it's almost the same amount
(and they are all arbitrary numbers, they could've set the base clock at 1400 and now you'd be thinking they are amazing overclockers).

Can't wait for GPUZ to show Pascal's Asic (is that even happening?) to see how binned some chips are - so far every GameRock Premium goes over 2100 (but Palit did state they are binned).

You beat my graphics score by 0.5% haha.

My Gamerock Premium is going just above 2k without me changing anything, but I've seen it dip slightly below too.

Yeah it is, I'm so happy with mine :). It's by far the most I've ever spent on a GPU, never gone above £180 before. Hope this high end graphics thing doesn't get addictive.

Don't forget to use spoiler tags for images wider than 1280 pixels.:)
Sorry about that, it was a bit huge (I blame MS Paint). Fixed now.

Same here, it's a bit of an extravagance but it's given a new lease of life to my PC. The 770 wasn't ageing well and my motherboard isn't capable of SLI so I think I made the right choice in the 1070. :)

My intention is not to upgrade the graphics card for at least three years (at which point I'll probably just build a new PC).

Got a Gigabyte 1070 on its way tomorrow. OCUK prices (the Increases) forced me to go elsewhere. Damn you all. Hopefully I'll get 18 months use out of the 1070 before I feel a upgrade(1440p ultrawide forced my hand a tad) . My 980 goes to my racing sim machine.

Yeah I'm hoping my PC will be good for another 3 years or so too. The 1070 replaced a 660, so quite a leap forward being about 4x faster.

21109 GPU score on my MSI Gaming X 1070 :D

I noticed one other 1070 above me on the Firestrike thread and they were running +750 on the memory so looks like I might be able to get some more out of it yet.
Nice, that must be getting close to 1080 levels of performance.
