Yeah, I've been using Afterburner for a couple of years now and I'm using it with the Strix 970 as well

But, as you say, those programs are generally brand-neutral, so might as well stick with the best if you don't mind not having control over the RGB lights.

Over the past 2 weeks i kept adding the zotac 1070 amp edition to my basket, typing in my details and changing my mind at the last minute. Although last night, after a few beers, I bought one and shall hopefully receive it tomorrow as they are listed as being in stock.

It should be a very nice upgrade from my four year old 7950. Only concern is fitting it inside my Antec 300 gaming case but it should be okey following a tight squeeze

I think the card itself is lovely and lite..smaller than I thought though...boosts up to around 1974MHz -ish but it goes up and down sometimes down to 1100MHz.....plus I cant seem to set an OC in afterburner ......but gameplay ( BF4) is very smooth, well untill the drop in frame rates anyway...didnt get that with my 980 that would stay at 1354MHz all the time I was in game

I've finally sold my 970, so it appears I'll soon be on the Roll of Honour

However, I'd rather propose to put me on the highly distinguished Roll of Poverty for people so broke they couldn't afford a 1070 without flogging their old GPU beforehand

heh, thats why I used BNPL finance. Gives a bit more flexibility when swapping cards.
