Didn't they say the FE will be £399 and the custom ones £320?
FE is confirmed as £399. No confirmation of custom prices but going by the 1080 launch they should start at £320.

I will certainly be upgrading from my 570! The jump is going to be HUGE!
£320 is very cheap for what is a better than Titan card. Just Gotta make sure I get past the pre order scramble!
Do you think a 3570k @4.5Ghz is ok to be paired with a 1070 at 1440p?
None of those are overkill. The large majority of games are GPU-limited and 3570k at 4Ghz+ is still an entirely capable CPU.I think a 3570k @ 4.0 would be fine tbh, If you can, let me know as i have the same cpu and i am thinking what would be overkill for this cpu, 1070, 1080 or 1080ti.

And CPU's, in 99% of cases, have nothing to do with resolution. That's ALL GPU-based. The only exception is the rare occasion where the level of detail at different draw distances is affected by your chosen resolution(like with MGS V).
So if your CPU doesn't bottleneck you at 1080p, it wont bottleneck you at 1440p or even 8k, either.
Has anyone heard about the pricing? I have heard rumors of around ~£400 for the FE cards.
Can anyone confirm this?
Rob
OcUK seem to be very quiet on the subject of HB SLI bridges at the moment. I hope they do get some stock.
They have said they are not going to sell them and best to buy elsewhere. A mistake I think.
From what I've been told, we're waiting on availability from manufacturers guys. We hope to stock them as soon as we are able to, but I don't have any idea on pricing or an ETA.
+1 cannot agree with this more, this is exactly how it seems, making their 1080 redundant almost immediately by bringing out the 1070. I expect the 1070 to sell in droves like the 970 did.

I'd hate to have just pre-ordered a GTX 1070, the RX 480 is almost half the price and I'd say no less than 80% the performance.
