Nope, not if you want a constant 60fps+ and like to max out games.
What versions do people reccomend? I'm tempted by the G1 at the moment, worth the extra money or stick with a cheaper one?
If you play games at 1080p and even 1440p but don't mind turning a few settings down.
As someone with the card and 1440p the 1070 is plenty for this res definitely overkill for 1080p
Do all 1070's have dual Bios or just a few models?, not seen it listed anywhere.
no not all have Dual Bios the ones that do at the top of my head are the FTW from evga and GLH from gainward
Whats the best 1070 to get if I want:
1. fans stop if low temps
2. Great cooling
3. Good Ocer and good brand
which to go with? read decent reviews about the GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G
any other contenders? or ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1070 STRIX? or ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1070 AMP!?
thanks
I'd go for the MSI, personally. I just don't see a reason for a massive 2.5 slot card like the AMP Extreme really. These chips don't put out anywhere near enough heat to require such a gigantic cooler. The two slot ones handle it just fine, keeping temperatures around 70 with extremely low fan RPMs.Guys Zotac AMP Extreme or MSI Gaming X? I'm swaying to the MSI as I have a red and black build.

The EVGA FTW is also worth considering, as it has very similar performance to the MSI across the board and is around the same price now.
