Turned on PC to be greated with lines of garbage across my screenReset PC and all is OK. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.
That's bad news, if it has happened once it is is likely to happen again.

What display connection are you using? fair few reports of various problems with booting on DVI if your monitor requires dual link bandwidth from complete lack of display initialisation through to corruption but working on subsequent retries.
As I haven't really seen much info on this card, I thought I would jot down some initial impressions for those that might be interested:
Initial impressions, I have to say, weren't terrific. Whilst I appreciate that this is a "budget" card, at £360 it is still an expensive bit of kit. Taking it out the box, it feels very light and plastic with no back plate. Solidly enough built, but a bit less substantial than I would hope for the price. I have a gaming PC in an HTPC case, so size and a blower design were top priority and this fits nicely.
Few issues initially which I will post up some questions about here , but up and running and impressions are a lot more positive.
Running through a 1080p Sony TV, holds 60FPS with everything absolutely maxed in every game I have tried so far.
Not had time to do any proper testing, but runs surprisingly quietly and cool given the somewhat poor looking cooler. Even pushing it, is barely audible and certainly not above my CPU/Case Fans. In my quick checks, never seems to go above about 60c either.
Overall, very happy, despite some initial reservations.
Got the AMP Extreme to replace the faulty AMP.

I did hear the fans revving so created a fan profile. I have them kicking in at 60deg C. Is that safe?
Why replace one faulty card with another? Other brands do not have this problem.
You aren't having much luck are you.
dunno![]()
Other brands seem to be having issues with second rate ram, coil whine, or duff hdmi outputs. I can live with having to set a fan to kick in at 33% when it reaches 60 deg C. I can't live with a fan vibrating or all of the other things. Plus I wanted the 5 year warranty - it makes me feel fuzzy inside![]()

So far seems a good card to me - reasonably quiet and even at 100% fan it is only like the GB WF3 cooler on my 780GHZ at 60-70% noise wise. Runs fairly cool and reasonable out the box boost. I do miss the weighty build and backplate, etc. of my old card though - if it wasn't for being in a sale and my reluctance to spend more than I have to on what isn't really a £400 card I'd have probably gone the extra for the GB G1, Gainward GLH or EVGA FTW though if forced to spend the normal prices over it.
While it doesn't look or feel like a cheap card it is very very light, has very "adequate", no frills, and no more aluminium heatsink and thick tabs of thermal tape between the heatsink and VRMs and VRAM which is a little less than inspiring.
Don't recall seeing VRM temps in GPU-z but not at my gaming system right now. I'm like 99% sure it doesn't though.
That is one of the reasons I went with the Palit - its a stop gap card until something that offers more like a traditional high end performance leap comes along.
