Glad I pulled the trigger at £359 for a dual fan - feel ripped off even at that price for what is really a mid-range card but was pretty sure the prices for any decent model weren't going to get any better any time soon.

No difference really performance wise.Founders will hit 81 degrees full load while the g1 will hit prob 65.With a fan profile the founders can be kept at 70.Overclocks well also.Great card for the price you quoted.

Yes but again it's not bad.Not as bad as the maxwell ref coolers imo.Running at 81 is grand anyway and the stock profile is quiet.Up to yourself.I was going to sell my g1 for another founders.My pc is beside me.I'm comfortable with the noise so use that info as you will

Planning to get a 1070 this month, been looking at the Palit Gamerock and the Palit Jetstream (preferable) due to LED light thing and neutral colour.

Are these Palit cards any good? Anyone have one? Overclock well?

All 1070s will perform more or less the same.Never had a palit myself but I see the guys on NV reddit praising them.

EVGA GTX 1070 FTW that I bought last week seems to have some coil whine. It's not audible with headphones on but can clearly hear it without headphones. I'm not sure if it's possible to raise an RMA due to this? It's not a big deal I know but it's actually starting to annoy me, considering how much the thing cost. Anyone else with the 1070 EVGA with a similar issue?
