Buy a 1070 ?

That's a silly plan, 1070 is like 25% less performance, that's quite a drop.

To put it another way, 1080 is 33% ahead of 1070.

You may as well tell those with 980tis they should just buy a 960, it would be way cheaper.

For someone with a single 970/980/780ti this is a very interesting product.

I'm waiting for the 1080ti, as I'm on 980SLI right now.

Arrive this morning, Unigine Heaven before and after:

To add some detail, initially had some instability out of the box, nvidia driver crashes etc but seems to have settled down now. DOOM runs at 1080p Ultra 130-200fps, during the above benchmark temps hit 80C and there was some evidence of throttling (stuttering a few times during the bench). Noise wise you hear the fan spin up now and then but otherwise extremely quiet.
