The Pascal GTX 1080 Owners Thread

Try disabling gsync, running with DSR (assuming dsr, gsync and SLI still don't work together) and see if scaling is improved.

I assume it is simply an early driver scaling issue and it will be improved in the coming weeks.

Ahh yes. Running at 3x native.

GPU 1 running 95% GPU 2 running 80-87%. Seems far more stable aswell was jumping all over before. So it is simply a driver issue.

Suprisingly Witcher 3 running 55-60+fps with all ultra settings minus hairworks. 4434x2494 resolution lol. Propper drivers should see another 15% there.

Thanks very much :). I'll give them a go.

Wait facepalm, notice I already had that one installed, so double check, sorry, got too excited seeing Fan fixed :( . Either way Fan update should be coming today according to Nvidia Rep so hopefully see the correct driver released soon via GeForce Experience.

Ahh ok. I'll keep a lookout for that one too thanks :).

If there is no news soon on the Xtreme regarding clocks and availability I'm tempted to swap for the next aftermarket card that does appear in stock. If not for being busy at work I would have just went for the G1 this morning.

New Drivers available for download via Geforce Experience. Has fixed the 1080 FE fan ramping issue. Just played 25 mins of Witcher 3 and no issues so far. Much nice stable profile now!

Things can always improve with drivers but it is known that at 1440p scaling can be less than at 4k with 980TI SLI. Witcher 3 particularly doesn't scale very well at 1440p with the most powerful GPUs and can see negative scaling at 1440p with tri SLI 980Tis.

These cards are already well suited to 1440p in single configuration, especially in GSYNC. The more high end cards (980Ti, Titan X, 1080) you add at this resolution can start to give diminishing returns.

Something shiny just arrived. :)

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your GTX 1080.

Tyler - Guru3D have tested 1080's in SLi and found it to be in its infancy;

http://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/geforce-gtx-1080-2-way-sli-review,1.html

Looks like it'll take some time to sort...

Newest driver is running better 80-90% GPU 1 and 95% GPU2.

Still not as good as it can be but better than it was earlier. Was jumping all over the place 50-60% usage each.

Still faster than my Ti's were at the minute so not complaining. Hopefully drivers will be sorted soon though.
