Yeah anybody that believes the Founders Edition is not just a way for NVIDIA to make more money is naive imo. At the end of the day they pocket more $$$ which is the end goal. Coming up with this AIB competition nonsense is an insult to their customers intelligence.

Can you set a custom curve for Fans at AIB cards? Or are you to use whatever the presets they have came up with?

If you can, can you set custom curves for all AIB cards or is it a model specific?

Yep you can set any curve you like on any of the cards.
Not 100% sure about the hybrids though, I've never used one.
 
Well caved in, after toying with a SFF system (Refurbished AW X51 R3), ye ye l know, have built a mATX system and just needed a card. Sold the AW and now just waiting for the 1080 FE to ship and will have the system completed next week. After this l am going to hide my bank card! and not tell the wife lol. Shipped!

Will post pics next week for the TROH, lol the card cost nearly as much as the computer!

Quite right too, I never tell my wife how much these sort of things cost. I swear when stuff arrives she thinks they cost 30 quid max haha. Best I never leave OCUK or Scan open on my browser EVER!!

Been playing Witcher 3 and GTA maxed out @ 1440P. Smooth as butter. Really nice performance, card staying cool and quiet doesn't even need to max turbo to maintain 60FPS @ 1440P. Very impressed.

Made the right choice, especially now I have seen GTX 1070 prices.

Did you notice the loss of freesync? Or are you using Gsync on your 1080?
 
And on a side note, l have always wanted a reference cooler Nvidia card and have just told the wife lol, she has just asked not to know the price..........well she just did spend £25 on a hair cut :)
