Are core clocks in Uni Heaven reliable? I seem to see about a 75Mhz difference between that and GPU-Z.

I've had a bit of a play about this evening, managed to get +125 core and +495 mem, I haven't played about with power/voltage (if that's even possible on these)/fan profiles at all yet.

I've not actually OC'd any of my stuff in ages so I'm going to have to read up again on what I'm doing and then once I get the new rig built I can have a proper run at some benches.

I will say even just at stock these show a decent improvement over the 980ti's when playing the division at 1440p/144Hz.

Unigine Heaven often gets the core clockspeeds wrong for NVidia cards.

Custom PCBs is where it's at

Better to wait 4 to 6 weeks for the better PCBs.

^ This! I wish the step up programme would allow me an FTW but the reference with ACX will have to do until the Ti comes out

Although, custom PCBs haven't shown to be better clockers so far in the few reviews, which means Nvidia has done a great job with the stock clocks. And it's quite a jump from last gen isn't it!

I know, not good enough for submission, but I'm waiting on a some cooling fluid...

Also a little birdy from EK told me that they are doing their own HB bridge which will be compatible with their water blocks

. Yeah EK are making their own bridge. I'll still likely be going with the new EVGA HB bridge though. Unless the EK one looks better.

Hey if you are watercooling the EVGA HB bridge will not work with the waterblocks... I think

It's only the nvidia one due to its shape(width of top and bottom). I have the EVGA LED one which fits fine. The new EVGA bridge looks exactly the same so should fit aswell.

Really? You may be able to get 100mhz more or something for a 24/7 clock but that's probably 1-2fps in game, hardly demolishing anything. Lets not forget the kingpin will be £700 or something too

I hope so but equally I have doubts.

You will need a bios which gets round Nvidia's voltage lock on the cpu and even then with the one card, the HOF, with that unlocked it still only managed 2.5Ghz on LN.

With the lottery and you have FE cards doing 2.2Ghz, esp under water so no throttling, then no matter how many power connectors or chokes on the Kingpin/lightning you have, I suspect you might be lucky to get 2.3Ghz, maybe 2.4Ghz if you are very very lucky. Already have i seen decent high end AIB cards with extra power and chokes getting lower max overclocks than some FE. It really just seems that all you are paying for is better cooling with this card.

so all that extra money for 5 to 8% gain in clock speed and in reality a 3 to 4% gain in performance is hardly "demolishing" an FE.

£700 for a Kingpin, how much is the Asus FE again.

As to performance comparing a Kingpin to a reference card is like comparing GPUs from different families.

Have you checked what is at the top of the Firestrike HOF tables on their site. It is not 1080s, it is packed full of Kingpin 980 Ti's.
