I haven't had an email from OCUK yet today detailing availability of the 1080 aftermarket cards. Has anyone else? They were supposed to be getting stock delivered on the 17th.....

No point yet, SLI profiles in many games aren't working well. You're welcome to buy in advance, but you might as well wait a few months for the prices to drop a little.

Got my ref card installed and had a quick play around overclocking using msi afterburner latest beta version. The max core is +210 and memory seems stable at +700, maybe even higher but that +700 is great already. So it means my boosts stay above 2ghz and on occasion drop slightly under.
The fan noise is also pretty good, it's much better than 980 ti and titan x. My custom fan curve is set to max at 70% speed unless hitting over 82 degrees. On the witcher 3 and heaven bench the temps maxed at 80 degrees after a while and fan speed maxed at 66 %.
Very pleased with a ref card for once. Obviously the core clocks more around a bit and from game to game unlike my previous aftermarket cards that hold a perfect stable core speed although 70mhz variation won't really affect fps at 4k.

This is true, when I boot into TW3 and leave the screen I start at say 68.9 fps @ 2080mhz, after 15 mins I sometimes see 2030mhz but still 68.5fps, makes little difference.

Glad I went for FE and didn't wait for the Hybrid the difference between my normal 2030/2063mhz and 2150mhz would be 2fps max.
