This beast arrived today .

I'm using evga precision, as apparantly afterburner only recognises one of the three fans. No big deal, however, I like being able to view my (system) RAM usage in OSD. It appears precision doesnt let you do that?

You only need to control one fan as they are linked. I'm not sure why you would want to set them to different speeds anyway but to each and all that.

Well, I just bit the bullet and ordered me the MSI 1080 Ti LIGHTNING Z - arriving tomorrow pre 12 noon so I should have some time to play with it over the weekend

Pretty sure with EVGA's new coolers the fans can spin separate now depending on components located underneath. You can actually set up multiple fan profiles for the same card now. Can see some details on thier page: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-6696-KR

I imagine Afterburner just does not yet cater for this while OCX does.

Thought it comes through Precision? I've not seen any black screens even though I had a blood spam fest on Quake Champions after midnight. Yet still, not a peep out of the fans.

It may do it just seemed like an obvious thing to check, to the original question have you also tried another lead to your monitor as this is another common issue?

Had them a couple of weeks, pics in spoiler tag, can I get an add to the roll:

A custom loop would obviously be better but I'm too lazy and these are much quieter than any air cooled cards I've had previously in sli. Top out at 52 degrees load and barely audible above case fans.

Cards can do 2038/6156 for benching but keep them at 2000/6000 gaming.

Cant imagine the ftw3 hybrids being significantly better so glad I didn't wait.

I'm guessing that's the same place that had the EVGA 1080 TI SC Black Edition for £601 last week but said "in stock in 3 weeks". Then when people ordered they were shipped right away from Italy and France etc so arrived in just a couple of days

I just missed out on that so bought the KFA 1080TI from the MM for £580 instead

Indeed my friend! won't say where for obvious reasons, but I also had a £20 voucher which I used on top of the original "£666.66p" which made a total of £646.66p. Absolute bargain tbh. My prime ran out and I didn't renew it so ordered with free delivery but talked to customer service and they bumped it up to "expedited" for free so it will arrive this monday

p.s. the clue is there if anyone is wondering where I got it from lol

Im surprised how bottlenecked my 1080ti is right now at 1080p. my 4770k at 4,4ghz simply cannot sustain it in games like The division or Battlefield 1 or Wildlands. Im even seeing my i7 at 80%+ usages. Its screaming in pain . Thank god for the Dell S2417DG in the mail.

Def try a different cable if you can, and check the connections are solid.

Only things left after that really are re-seat the card, give it a blow out with some air if you've got some. Try it in another PC to see if it's the same, if it's the same then its return time unfortunately, get moving on it quick though as resellers can be a pain if you go over their return quota.
