Just ordered an Asus 1080Ti to go with a new Asus Crosshair VI board, Ryzen 1600X and Aura compatible 3200MHz ram. Should be here on Wednesday so hoping to see big gains over my 2500k and 980Ti.

I repasted my card with MX4 and got about a 2 degree drop and a 5% off the fan speed under load. I was hoping for a bit more but it's better than nothing.

Conductonaut is what you want. Really good stuff.

I never saw much, if any difference pasting the Msi gaming x I had with even kryonaut.

Conductonaut however dropped it by several degrees.

You have left the sticker/clover on the EK logo on the monoblock.

I think its safe to say that nVidia saw a nice spike in 1080ti's leaving the shelves when vega was released.. I really was looking forward to running some powerful red hardware but when that is said and done the 1080ti i have is such a champ and plows through everything with ease and it was dirt cheap to.. Now a cooler exchange and wholla.

Reminds me i need to dust off the pc, its a mess in there :S.

Im already on the Wall kaap

But its the cheapest Inno3D 1080ti X2 model. If it hadn't come with a backplate i wouldn't have mounted that big *** cooler to it though.

I had the opportunity to buy the 1080 Ti Kingpin the other day, then I remembered that the reference cards I have already got overclock just as well.

When it comes to nvidia products i wouldn't pay that amount of money cause whatever OC headroom you get would be minimum compared to reference boards thanks to the lovely volt limit nvidia put on their chips. The only thing these AIBs can do is bin the chips and save the best for their premium line. My 1080 ti will do just slightly above 2 ghz with the limited testing i've done and i can imagine the kingpin will have an easier time getting to around 2,1. That 100 mhz is not worth paying 30-40% more for or whatever the price delta would have been(i paid around 620 pounds, dirt cheap when you consider the 25% tax that gets put on products here in Denmark). Then again i'm not a benchmarker so i dont value certain things as high.

For general consumer or enthusiast use, reference PCB is enough. Although AIB cards normally generate less noise from the chokes, which is beneficial with watercooling where it's audible.

Water is the way to go here for gains, as well as granular tuning of GPUB 3.0 voltage points. I posted a few results showing the difference at a given frequency (2100Mhz) between air and water in this piece.

Conductonaut however dropped it by several degrees.

I reseated it and it seems to be quite a bit better now. Under 70C which is what I wanted
