Happy 3rd birthday to my 1080ti.

Still performing well, after 3 years under water, not had to do anything to it apart from a couple of water changes & then that was only to change coolant colour.

Runs at around 45c, even after several hours of gaming @ 2050mhz core 6000mhz memory.

Admittedly I did question myself spending that amount of money on a day one release card & ripping the cooler off without even plugging it in first to test it worked, but its been a sound investment.

Yeah. The 1080Ti turned out to be a very good card due to the abysmal 2000 series. Let’s hope the 3000 series is more like Pascal than Turing.

Still glad I bought my 1080ti with eol discount 18 months ago. Looking forward to new cards as always thought the 1080ti would be a stop gap but the more I think about it it's still going strong and questioning whether i need a new card

I was the same with my 980ti, I didn't really NEED a 1080ti, but it was well worth it

I'm still using a 1080Ti in my partners machine. I managed to upgrade my 1080Ti to a Asus 2070S Strix for about £20. Performance is slightly improved but it's brand new so got a fresh warranty and will probably perform better in future games. The remaining 1080Ti is still performing really well at 3440x1440 @ 100Hz and I won't replace it for a while.

What's the general opinion here with regards to an upgrade? The new cards are due out and the "Ti" version might be beyond most financially. I'd be happy to buy a 3060, 3070, 3080 etc. if it was giving me the performance boost I want at the price I want.

What's an acceptable performance increase for 1080ti owners? I'm thinking 75% increase at around the price I paid for my 1080ti - £700.

I'd say 50% plus performance boost at a similar price point would be alright, especially if you could flog the 1080Ti to recoup a chunk of the initial outlay. I really don't think it's going to happen though. We're all going to get bent over and shafted with the pricing of these new cards because once again, nvidia barely have any competition and it sucks.

Nothing I’m playing is needing anything more than my 1080Ti so far. Perhaps cyberpunk will, but I’m not sure I’ll upgrade just for that game.

My slightly dusty Zotac 1080ti Amp Extreme Core Edition, without doubt, the best card I've owned, runs great and cool @4K with a 4790K @4.8. a bit heavy and prone to sagging, hence the cable ties.....

A very good B-Grade purchase from one of the OC/UK Motors meets a couple of years back.
