The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

From reviews this looks quite inferior in comparison to the others (Aorus/MSI), 5/6c more.

The X3 has (to my knowledge) always traded temps for noise.

Need to wait a few months for Tom's do to their lab testing with these cards to confirm.

I am suspicious of almost any site that reviews Asus cards, I only trust a handful (techreport, toms, anandtech).

The big boys cant really handle the fact that Inno3d had the best 1080 cooler in the X3 and will do what they can to drown them - IMHO.

Ehhh i do the maybe wrong thing but i buy In germany computer shop online Gigabyte gtx 1080ti Gaming OC for 830 euros with shipping they have on sell now i will get this card Monday or Tuesday but i now think i make good bussines because lots of people say me this cooler and fans will be very noise and high temps. I read some opinion who get this card and is half and half some people say temps not to high they haved max 75 degrees in game and good overclocking other people say they have 82 degrees in game. I will see when i get this card and i write here my opinion why i buy this card? Because in Germany this card is still in stock but Aorus was out of stock very fast. And i dont want waiting longer so maybe i do terrible bussines but i will see i have corsair hydro h100i v2 and use on performance level which fans are very noise so that will be not problem for me if that card will be noise also.

Don't see the point.

If my FE performed like that at those clocks for the Strix bios I would be very disappointed.

I would expect to score more than that on my FE card by just adding a waterclock like the OP in the link has.

Don't see a huge point in it myself but it can be useful for some.

He says it not only gives higher clocks. But also stops the card from jumping on clocks and throttling on power to below 2ghz like a lot of us have seen in games/benchmarks.

Is anyone else having problems with power limit in the new windows creators update ?

I can't get the power limit past 100% anymore. Even when I set it to 120% it still throttles at 100%.

i have this card it runs @ 75C in my well ventilated system (3 intake 2 exhaust) in games such as tom clancys wildlands 1440p ultra. It's the same fan as the 1070/80 - windforce. the heatsink is the same when i compare gigabyte 1070 to 1080 ti except there are 2 more copper heat pipes.

You have a decision to make then. Make do with a worse Ti but get it sooner, or wait longer for a better Ti.

My Aorus is pretty awesome!! I am very very happy with it!!

Nice could you say me how this card working? Do you overclock this card? Is very noise?

yeh with it being really really hot today & in a wood sauna that is my cabin i saw 75C today. put on the A/C to get ambient to 21C saw 67C Max temperatures :p

nice!! My system is in an upstairs bedroom so not exactly cool either :D

Third fan has completely sorted me I think, we just gotta get used to the warm weather that's coming now

Doesn't actually work. If you read what users have found its just misreporting tdp % usage. Others find worse clocks using strix bios. You need to remember it has defferent power delivery so flashing another bios is risky. It could end up trying to draw more power from the pcie instead and fry things. Fe bios has been tuned to the phases and shunts to make sure certain amount of power is drawn. Thats why shunt mod is better. It just allows 6 pin ans 8 pin to draw more power.
