The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Can you add me to the list please. I forgot to post here when she arrived :-)

Delivery man has just arrived!!

I wouldn't be so certain it doesn't work, some users on there have shown GPU-Z graphs where they aren't getting power as a perfcap reason anymore on FE models with the strix bios.
Can you link me please. From what ive seen the bios is misreading power draw. Would make sense seen as the asus strix power delivery is completley different to founder edition and even kendra or what ever is name is the op that posted this flashing method has even gone back to the stock bios. Hes getting better benchmark results at stock bios at 2050 vs using strix bios at 2100. His own words.
So i would personally not bother and goes in line with what other users have said where they get no better head room or performance when benchmarking.

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your GTX 1080 Ti.

Thanks, I went to +450 with a few runs of superposition and all looks good.

I've set 125% power but I don't see it go over 100% is this a bug? This is with an Aorus so 2 x 8pin power cables.

It will not make any difference r7slayer nvidia have made sure of that and taken the fun out of overclocking. The best thing any overclocker can do now is use good cooling to get max boost.

You can overclock. GPU boost 3.0 just automatically overclocks the card quite well. I like the idea of GPU boost. For the average users it does it for them quite well. But for enthusiasts who like to squeeze the most out of their system and get as much performance as they can it's left a little more to desire. Especially when the likes of the 980Ti overclocked like a beast.
With water cooling i'm getting at least another 165 on the core and another 500Mhz on the memory. Problem is which a lot of FE cards have is the power limit which throttles down the cards. It's annoying because its not keeping the clocks up where we would like even though its stable. That is the problem. If it would not make any difference then why would people go out of their way to remove power limit problems? :)

Tweaktown have got their AMP! Extreme review up. The card's blistering as expected. Can't wait to get mine now. Just gutted DPD aren't delivering on Tuesdays so I have to wait until Wednesday to get it and I'm actually off work on Tuesday too.

It says its boost to 1950, but mine in afterburner has a long smooth line at 2000mhz jumping between 67/68 degrees which is the highest temps it got to so far (case open). I have not overclocked it, just let it do its thing. Looking at a number of games I have had a go with it, its quite happy to sit at 2000 mhz and these temps not just a spike ect. Afterburner shows long smooth lines of these readings during gameplay.

That's good hear. I'm really quite excited to get mine. Going to take a look at all the internal cabling in my case on the Tuesday, tidy stuff up and give the case a clean before I install the new card. What case and CPU cooler are you using?

Im using a Corsair 750, and Corsair GT110 I think its called. Very happy with the card, I bought it for VR mainly and it certainnly is much smoother than my 980ti. There are two minor downsides I have encountered but deff not to put you off, The card is that good at moving the heat, the room tempreture crept up, to the point we were sitting around in vest and pants. Mind you this is because we was using it at full gaming wack for quite a few hours constant. This just indicates that underneath it all there is a hot chip, for all the goodness of the card the heat has to go somewhere. Secondly its heavy it sags a tiny bit about a 1-2 mm. Not even mu 290x lightning did this, so i guess its much heavier. Im sure its ok, not sure if to leave it or tie it up.

Do you know how to post pics on here?

how comes everyone is buying all these aftermarket models and all I see is boring founders editions everywhere, I did see the rainforest in denmark who are shipping out 1080ti msi gaMING x models

but in the uk founders edition only

They have been getting stock in in dribs and drabs but if you havent already ordered your chances of seeing one actually stay in stock long enough for you to see it and buy it are pretty slim - they are still fulfilling back orders
