So a pure FE edition of the card with an AIO slapped on and using really nice ML fan, if that can be priced reasonably looks like the best AIO cooled card in my opinion.

80+ is where my Strix tops out also. With water, 2100 should be feasable.
I have 2 x VGA power cables with 1 x 6 pin & 1 x 8 pin. I'm currently using both cables and both 8 pins for the 2 x 8 pin gpu power.
The card came with a 6 pin to 8 pin adaptor.
Can I use the 1 x VGA power cable , using the 8 pin then using the 6 pin to 8 pin adaptor to power the gpu- hope that makes sense
Or is it best to use 2 separate power cables
Ref cards with blocks will be stripped, original coolers back on and sold. Same with everything else, pumps, rads, blocks etc all will be sold too.
Same system just going back to air (AIO on CPU) fancied a new case to suit the new stuff so went with enthoo primo.
Hi all,
I originally ordered the Gigiabyte Gaming OC 1080 Ti and RMA'd it due to coil whine. My Asus ROG Strix 1080 Ti OC arrived today.
Running a heaven benchmark @ 1440p/max settings i've got a stable o/c of +80 core 120% power , 100% voltage and i got a 2050mhz to start the dropped to 2038 constant. Maxed out a t 70C & 45% fan speed. i believe this is good for 1080 ti pascal on air?
My gigabyte card was a pile of crap compared to the asus. i was getting 1974 @ 75C & 62% fan speed (noisy!)
As you can see i was hitting voltage limit throughout

Nice one and hope you have a good clocker like mineReceived the MSI Gaming X today and looks an absolute fantastic card. Well presented in the box and very clean looking card. Black thermal pads so everything looks as it should be. One of the thing (no offence to owners) that put me off was the obvious grey pads on the Gigabyte Aorus. But blends in well on this card.
Overall very impressed with the card, will give my further opinion tonight once I get it in as new case and other parts have arrived to finish my build off. Got some work to do until then so hopefully in by tonight.
If Kaap you can add me to the TROH and remove my original as will be selling my ref EVGA 1080Ti's shortly. Thanks

Any coil whine with your Asus geordiejc? I know you had a bad time with your Gaming OC
Your wallet doesn't love youWhat's funny?

The primo is nice case (got one myself) but it will be a shame to see your current rig dismantled, your 900D is a very well done. Anyway good luck with the new build.

Yeah it is very nice, it's been a pleasure to work with so far. Put a lot of time into the 900D build but actually very pleased with how this is turning out so far. Looking better than I expected. Won't be finished until tomorrow (running wise). Waiting for a few final bits either tomorrow or Saturday when they turn up
Get some pics posted up when your done.
I have proper dipped out lately, so nice to have a better clocker for onceWhat's funny?
