The deal were running on the MSI and Gigabyte make them an absolute bargain!
I know they really need to step up for Volta.
Saved for when I do my Caselabs S5 WC build
This is good for OCUK too, well done guys.
Good work @Gibbo , thanks for getting my amp extreme to me a little earlier than expected so that was a bonus, i believe you got the zotac cards a couple of times before any of the other resellers, now to enjoy the card for at least a couple of years, can't see there being a need to upgrade anytime soon
That Zotac looks sexy. The price not so much!
I will get like 3 VEGAs with those moneyz, for sure!
got mine from OC last week. very impressed with the great performance, overlocking ability, low noise and temps. easily best card ever bought
Damn Aorus and Gaming X for £700...
Looking at that can't see why anyone would buy the asus, slower, less warranty and £100 more
man these have dropped in price quickly.
Great news for us though - I am locked into Nvidia as I love my g Synch monitor so much and no I am not going to go to the hassle of selling the monitor and buying a Freesynch one. Although I am sure some people will do this.
Yer they have. Great to see and seeing the MSI at £690 is a fantastic price and £60 cheaper than I paid. As low as £629 also, which for anyone considering water cooling, this is a must buy
I much prefer the look of the Asus over the other 2 ugly (imo) cards. But I do prefer the prices of the other 2.
Is there a definitive "best" out of the MSI and Gigabyte cards when it comes to temperatures and noise? (I'm guessing performance is extremely close)
performance is close, believe XTR has slightly higher clock speed but both should OC the same as its pascal. I believe the MSI is about 1-2 db quicker at 50% , 2 db louder at 30% fan speed and 3 db louder at 80-100% - which makes sence, Aorus has 3x100 so they dont spin as fast.
***correction- check link for test readings****
MSI i believe is 2.5 whilst Aorus does hit 2.8/3 slots in my mind, both about same length as Aorus stacks its fans. Aorus Extreme has 4 years warranty over MSI 3
basically this will tell you all you need to know between the two
More to do with pound gaining strength but also the fact supply on MSI and Aorus is good as well.
But pound going from 1.22 upto 1.30 makes a huge difference on big USD cost products.
has anyone here ever got anything from Alza before?
You may well get a kicking for competitor talk
didn't post any links to a product page from competitor though so I don't see any reason why I would :/ bit pathetic if I were to get kicked for posting a name of a competitor
Ah man, was gonna buy the Aorus Xtreme edition for £699.99 but it's gone up to £739.99 now.
Separate names with a comma.
