Type C connectors have Alt Modes which allow them to carry various signals, along side the USB signal, so as long as you have the correct Type C cable, then it can be used as Display Port, or HDMI. Not forgetting that the USB 3.1 spec allows the use of USB Power Delivery spec also, which means it can do 5A at 20V so 100W of power.

It's amazing how few people realise the capabilities of newer specifications, and how the standardisation of new equipment over the next 3 years or so will mean much less cable clutter.

maxs temps 55c boosts easily to 2050

None of my 15 Pascal cards can do 2025mhz on air, they can all do quite a bit better lol.

Pascal is very disappointing as far as factory overclocked cards go.

Totally agree, Pascal isn't the architecture for premium cards like the Kingpin.

I'm not one for criticising anyone's purchases, but I'd find it very difficult to justify spending the cash on a Kingpin compared to a bog standard FE + Water Block or AIO cooler. The FE + AIO will probably work out cheaper!

Indeed kingpin will be pointless without ln2.

Nice looking card and probably a top end cooler but the price won't be worth it.

I am not sure it will do the business on LN2, 2 X 8 pin power connectors may seem plenty but there are other 1080 Ti cards that have more.

I am getting a horrible feeling that EVGA have pushed this card out there to mop up a few sales that would have went to the Classified. Unfortunately as we already know from the 1080 the Classified was a bit of a lane duck and possibly the reason for no 1080 Ti version.

Having said that if the Kingpin can hold a totally flat 2100mhz without any drops on air then things could be interesting. EVGA may have also tweaked the memory like they did with the 980 Ti version which also gave some nice performance.
