The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Probably bought it from Rainforest, they're infamous for buying through the grey market to keep their prices lower (hence no nVidia codes).

With the amount of cheap games as well as sales on Steam? Is it really needed? I'm still digging through old games. The mods and tweaks are the most fun.

There is no code with the card for the game. You just register with geforce experience which conforms a 10 series card in your PC then you can claim the game. Unless that deal has finsihed. Worth trying though.

I am registered with that but can't see anywhere to get a code/game

8 Pack reviews the KFA2 EXOC 1080 Ti.

This is a follow up on the forum to the You Tube video review I did on our channel before I left for Computex.

I tested both white and black versions of the card finding performance and overclocking very similar on both which is unsurprising as the only difference is cosmetic.

The system I used for card testing was:
6950X at 4.6ghz
Galax HOF memory 32gb 4x8gb
ASUS Rampage V Xtreme MB
8Pack PSU

Windows 10 64 Bit.

Here are the screen shots of the bench scores with the card running stock clocks.

As you can see a pretty impressive stock boost clock of between 1925/1950mhz. This is beating Nvidias founders edition by around 100mhz on stock boost clocks.

Stock full load temps:

76 C peak after Heaven maxed out for 1 hour with fan on auto and at a very quiet 56% of max. Beating the Foundation card by over 10C in the same test conditions.
With the founders editions single fan design having to run the single fan much higher RPM and much louder to maintain these temps. XOC is cooler and quieter.

Finally overclocked benches:

OC with very quiet auto fan profile game stable results of 2025mhz Core and 6100-6150mhz mems was no problem for this card.

In conclusion the Galax EXOC outperformed the Nvidia Founders edition reference card across the range of testing. Faster at stock, cooler and quieter as well as good
overclocking performance. It looks great and with both colours available can be integrated into any power users gaming system. The card is also around £30-£40
cheaper than the Nvidia reference equivalent so really every reason to buy.

I don't know what it is about white hardware for computers but it always reminds me of emulsion, primer or girls/women with white gear and purple/pink traces.

Anyone else got a Zotac AMP! Edition 1080ti?

Wondering what you have overclocked it to?

Mine it at stock figures of:

  • Engine Clock
    Base: 1683 MHz
    Boost:1822 MHz

    Cheers,

Amp! Extreme here. Boost 2050, starts to warm up too much after that. Great card, best I have owned.

I love how quiet this card is when gaming at night. It still feels weird taking my headphones off and just hearing very soft faint air from the case having to double check its still on.

All hard wired sensors around my case read 24c, 20c, 24c and 23c. Hard drive fan also feeding PSU (so the PSU fan doesn't come on) at 810rpm, the two roof 140mm at 410rpm and rear 120mm 510rpm. Allowing me to keep the front two 120mm fans off.

About to pull the trigger on a 1080ti seeing as I sold my 1080. Whats the best/quietest? Do they all clock the same? My Palit 1080 was the quietest card Ive ever owned so may just get the same again I think.

Did that require any voltage tweak dude?

Just set it to the maximum values on afterburner - 100% voltage and power limit 120%.

It is great, I love how the fans are off when it isn't under heavy use. Even when on the fans are very quiet.
