The Pascal GTX 1080 Ti Owners Thread

Not an owner, but, might become one before the weekend as I just got offered one at an great price from a friend. He is barely using his computer these days and wants to downgrade. His offer is that he takes my Palit 1070 + some cash for his EVGA 1080ti SC black edition. I am only guessing at second hand values for the 1070, but, I reckon it will cost me around £470.

Just wondering is the EVGA 1080ti SC black edition a good card? One of the better ones?

I was waiting to see what Vega was going to do and if it turned out to be poor then I was going to hold on and see what Volta was like, but, this offer has tempted me to change sooner than I planned

I'm sure someone else will chip in but my 1080Ti SC black edition arrives on Friday. I too was waiting for Vega due to having a Freesync monitor but as it looks like it's going to be well off the Ti performance i grabbed the 1080Ti instead.

no its great if cheap. Founders or non founders clock the same roughly just its a touch louder than say a FTW

Hehe I think a lot of people are going to have EVGA 1080Ti Black editions soon due to that rather stonking offer that was about. Mine is being dispatched today

Just installing BF1 again and cant wait to play it on this, im only running at 1080p but like others have said..I want the most out of my 144hz monitor..

i would, i got the FE as it was £25 less for me however the SC was my second bet esp as all pascal clock the same and i've been on AMD housefire turbines for ages

A big recommendation from me is a G-sync, 21:9 3440 or 1440p 144hz panel for that Ti!

I am really happy overall with my setup. My only thing will be a new monitor though down the line, primarily for G SYNC. And if im being picky I would like my gamer chair to match my PC setup colour scheme..

How do you find the support of 21:9 in games? I've got a 4k freesync monitor that i love but looking for a Gsync replacement.

Not had any issues to be fair. All games work fine and the only other games I've had issues with is fallout and skyrim although they are fixed quite easily with mods.

Highly recommended I've had 4K/60hz before and while it's pretty nice. 21:9 120hz is just fantastic. I could never go back to 16:9 or 60hz.

Thanks for the info, it's certainly tempting. I'm so use to 4k now for my video / image editing that it's going to be a tricky choice.

My 1080ti arrived today and it's a bit quick. Powerlimits up to 120 in MSI AB and it boosts to around 1900Mhz, fan noise is fine for me. Using Fast Sync on my Freesync monitor means everything is nice and smooth / no tearing as my fps are all above my 60Hz 4k panel.

Is it worth going on water for higher overclocks? Can go to 1950 MHz on air at around 70c.

Anyone have any experiences going from air to water in terms of overclocking potential?
