The Pascal Titan X and XP Owners Thread

Yep it is not only their customers NVidia don't play fair with, they also do the same to the retailers too.

In some ways it surprises me in others it doesn't. Nvidia just want to reap the total cost of this card so are sticking to being the only suppliers (besides system builders). Then again its not as if it would make much difference if their card partners started flogging it, would be exactly the same besides box art and a sticker on the card saying gigabyte or whatever....oh and asus being £40 more expensive "cause asus":p.

I do think it probably has slightly cheesed their partners off though.

As they're all reference cards I don't have a problem with them having to be bought from Nvidia as a consumer. As far as I can see all the other reference cards (1070,1080) are either the same price as the Nvidia cards or more expensive - just for different branding. Only some of the cards with cheaper/naff coolers come in lower priced.
Probably has upset the retailers tho. Maybe they also wanted to keep control of the top end price the cards will sell for, ie, no £1200+ EVGA or ASUS cards to avoid customer ridiculing the price....£1099 isn't bad (he jokes :D)
