The Pascal Titan X and XP Owners Thread

Hi guys.Thinking of buying the Titan XP.Believe me it's been playing on my mind the past few weeks.I have 2 1070s atm running a pg348q 3440 x 1440.Would prefer the single card option tbh.Is the card as loud as some say? Also would it be a good upgrade from the 1070s?

I personally didn't think my 1080 FE was that noisy at all, esp upto 70% (which should keep your TXP fairly cool). If you want to go single card then it's a v good route to take considering your resolution, should last you quite a while :)

Well it's all fitted and I'm loving it! Went from Sli maxwell titans to this beast! Done a quick 2100mhz oc and it's hitting a massive 42c, maxing out games on my x34 and not even at 100% usage in some of then

Thank you.:)

Yup... 70% on stock cooler was quieter than 40% Titan X Maxwell, for sure... so noticable, but not horrible.

Try it and see... it won't be worse than your 1080 FE.

I had 2x 1080 FE and now 2x Titan XP... all four cards were originally on stock coolers.

But now the Titans are under water...

Hey Jon, how are you enjoying those Titans?? Rig is looking epiiiiiiic

For me I just can't justify it, 3440 just isn't as taxing as a 4K beast of a res!!! :D

They're great but still barely using them... hopefully this rig will last me a while... but I have a funny feeling I'll upgrade them to the next Titan for the heck of it.

Amazing work mate.That's art:)

Thanks :)

Had my Titan 3 days now , not really to sure about it to be honest.

Firstly I've fitted a full Ek block and back plate and i'm on the latest drivers.

It seems most people seem to get around 2100mhz , but my max boost seems to change depending on which benchmark i'm running , i'm thinking that i'm not fully understanding the whole gpu boost 3. if i try to get a stable 2100 in say heaven it will crash out in about 10 seconds , adding what little voltage you can add seems to not help stability at all.

I'm also getting a lot of 'buzz' whilst gaming (144hz gsync vsync on) much more than my previous Titan X maxwell.

Any ideas ? am i doing something wrong ? are these quite a buzzy card ?

Mine hits 2088 but only 2075 with the newest drivers. Seems to have crippled my max clock.

Stays at 2088 so long as card stays under 40c. If it goes over it starts dropping. Seen it as low as 2000 when hot.

Mine sits at around 2038 with +200 on the core, haven't tried pushing it any further as it does get close to 50c in some games although I think that is linked to how demanding the game is on cpu which is in the same loop

lol buzzy, there's not a lot you can do about it at those frame rates on the reference boards. Also 2100 is not what most are getting. This is really a limitation of the architecture, but I've had two and for 24/7 use 2080 seems to be the sweet spot, some will do slightly higher. Unless you want to do the resister mod, be happy with what you've got. Not sure what you're expecting. Too much by the sounds of it.

Wouldn't recommend the resister mod for warranty reasons, though.

If you can pull 2ghz on the fastest gaming gpu currently on the market I'd be well happy.

Well it will do 2050 without issue.

That's the thing Scone, i wasn't to sure what to expect, that's the reason i wanted some owners opinions.

Overall i'm very happy indeed, i just wanted to know what was normal and what wasn't.

I just need to find a game that will dent this things performance because right now i'm maxing everything at 144fps 1440p.

As for the buzzing , well i'm still trying to get the last air out of my rads so the case side is off which probably isn't helping.

Thanks for the reassurance guys , most helpful :D

Lol try star citizen. That will tax your gpu

Will the titan with a aggressive fan controller setting be quieter then the old 480gtx?
