What i want you to do is, take below system which i currently own, turn it in to cash & spec me a new rig parts, you can transfer any component from the old to new but please state this, also you can leave some un required componets out if required (for example 2 x bluray) but state this also.

Current Rig:
I7 920 (2.93Ghz)
Nortuca CPU Cooler
2x Bluray DVDR (LG)
ASUS Dexule OC Palm V2
6GB DDR3 1066mhz Gskill
300GB Raptor
640GB Caviar
570GTX (Zotac)
ASUS DX Xonar
Coolermaster Cosmo S Case
4x 120mm Fan's
1000w Cosair PSU

i dont think this breaks any rules as im not asking about price but close the thread if required.:cool:

i7 --> ~£100 --> i5 2500k Sandybridge.
ASUS Deluxe --> ~£150-£200 --> MSI P67A-GD65
6GB GSkill --> ~£40 --> XMS 4/8GB DDR3 1600Mhz.

Not sure on the prices of your stuff but that's what I'm guessing around when I searched in google. Keep the rest in my opinion and maybe add in a SSD.

Thats what I would do but with a different board.

And if your Noctua has Intel socket 1156/55 fitment then the OEM CPU will save some £££

Why do you feel the need to upgrade from an i7 920? Can always overclock to 4GHz!

Personally wouldn't bother upgrading from that until at least LGA 2011 if not Ivybridge.

dont neccsary want to upgrade its just had this PC for 1.5+ years and i would also like a smaller case to fit under a certain area of my desk but thought might aswell see whats about.
