Hi all, first time poster here!

I am about to order all of the parts for my first gaming rig build. I have chosen everything so far except the case. After some serious browsing I am unable to find one that meets all my needs, and so I ask for some advice from you guys :).

I'm looking for something that will comfortably fit a corsair H100 push/pull and 2 msi twin frozr gtx 580s (I'm only buying one for now). I also plan to have a RAM cooler such as the g.skill turbulence II or similar. USB 3.0 and a fan controller would be nice, but not completely necessary, as I can fit those at a later date.

I have budgeted about £150, and I want the coolest most quiet case I can get for the money. If there is a Lian-Li or similar that meets the above criteria, I may increase my budget slightly. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the speedy reply!

I very nearly went for this case, however reviews generally say its a fantastic case let down a little by its slightly high temps. Also it wont fit a H100 in push/pull configuration. Maybe I don't need push/pull (plan to oc a 2600k).

Are there any alternative to the 650D that have better cooling/more fan options?

The Corsair 650D is one of the best quality builds and excellent cooling. This is the reason I have bought the case and should be with me Monday :)

I doubt you will need push/pull with a H100 for the 2600k. I have a friend with AMD Phenom II X6 1055T and it runs at 15C with just the 2 fans that came with the H100.

Would you consider a H80 in push/pull instead?

The Silverstone FT02 will be much better suited for twin cards than most cases as you have a fan pointing right at them. The only thing is, the case won't fit a H100 without modification, but a H80 would fit just fine. You can find silver ones for a little over £160.

I do think the FT02 is a great looking case, but I'm set on the H100 for the reasons mentioned here:

What overclock are you wanting to achieve?

I want get as much out of the 2600k as I can, and thats why I'm leaning more towards the H100 rather than the H80.

Go for a Corsair 650D or a Corsiar 600T. You wont regret it.

Like I said, I am really keen on these cases however with the CPU and 2x 480s overclocked, and ram at 2133MHz (g.skill ripjawsX) I'm worried that the system will get too hot in one of these corsiar models. I do however have no experience with one, so I could well be wrong about this.

Why do you want to run the RAM that fast?

I'm sure there was a benchmark comparison done by a popular review site and they reckon anything over 1600 or was a waste of time.

Oh I didn't know that. The motherboard I'm buying (ASUS P8P67 DELUX) supports up to 2200MHz and I figured that increased speed = increased performance, and the price difference is not too much. So I can use 1600MHz instead then with no noticable difference? If the 650D can support the OC on the 2600K and 2x gtx 580s with a H100 then it is settled.

Only problems with the 650D and 600T being the gpu temperatures. If you're prepared to do something about them (e.g. single HDD bay with aftermarket 200mm fan) then fair enough. Keep 'em stock and your gpus will suffer. The stock fans on both cases barely move enough air for you to feel it on your fingers.
