The perfect fan???

Having just done a pile of reviews a lot of which have been fns it got me thinking

What would be the perfect fan.

Not looking for shed loads of numbers here, just feelings and instinct

So What would be your perfect fan? Think....If I could have the looks of fan X and the performance of Fan Y what would you choose.

My starter for 10 would be

Performance of Scythe Gentle typhoon, but with a 2400rpm model

Gloss black cowling, with the metal band from the Enermax range.

Central Hub mounted LEDs as per the AP range (very nice even light distribution).

So what's your ideal fan.
 
To be fair, it sounds like you got it in one buddy!

Although I'd prefer:

1) An LED on/off switch attachable to fan controllers.

2) Performance of a 5400RPM with the sound of a 1200RPM ;)
 
Totally silent with the cooling power of a sizable hurricane for the price of a bag of chips. :p In all honesty I'm pretty satisfied with my Apaches both looks and performance wise.

The Bitfenix fans are contollable via the hydra unit, and their soon to be released new fan controller which can be worked via your phone.

keeping it real though the perfect noise to speed balance is the holy grail of fan manufacturing.

Any others get itting it nearly right, or closer than the GTs?
 
You can get Scythe GTs 3000rpm fans. Loud as a jet plane.

Perfect fan already exists :). Noiseblocker multiframe M12P or PS. 2000rpm, slightly more static pressure than a GT, and 120+ cfm. At full 2000rpm I think they go up to 28db, pretty much silent under 1200rpm. That's if you can afford to get a full set for your rads...
