Honestly I got bored through it and ended up clock watching. The cast is great, the script has the usual quirks and it's shot beautifully, but it missed some charm and excitement from it. Better than Asteroid but not a scratch on Budapest. I had a private screening because no one else had booked that cinema at the time to watch it. The story has a lot of similarities to Budapest with the lead/support roles but the negotiations through the film just add confusion.
Beautifully shot as you'd expect from a Wes Anderson film, with his 'quirky' camera style, cast played their roles great but this was one his weaker films for me.
Mia Threapleton was a standout for me, not seen her in anything before
I watched this several months back and as above, love Andersons style but this was also another miss for me, although it flowed much better than Asteroid City. I'm not sure if Wes is cranking up the oddness or the pace or what but he certainly has the access to an excellent ensemble cast.
