I am thinking about signing a new contract, selling the phone then buying an N95 simfree when it is released (£349), this way I will be able to keep my existing number (as I want to stay on the same network) and I will get the N95 when its released.

So what is currently the phone with the highest resale value? The W880i (just release) can be had for only £200 - very low indeed, i am suprised! Are there any higher value phones about? (preferrably free on contract)

The problem is, that the value now does not reflect the value in say 12 months when you want to sell?

I will sell it immediately, then buy the N95 in 1/2/3/4! weeks time.

Either one of the top end HTC models or the Nokia 8800, I'd reckon.

I forgot about that phone I would have thought that be more expensive too but even the 8800 is £200. They are all so cheap!

The 8800 Sirocco Edition should fetch considerably more than the standard 8800, but equally you'll actually have to pay some money upfront for the handset as well.

Otherwise, on O2 the XDA Orbit seems to do relatively well on the auction site, and it's not too expensive with a contract. The Co-Pilot software alone seems to sell for something like £50, and the handset for something around £250 or thereabouts.

Found some offers on Carphonewarehouse, they look quite good, do these pricings look about right?? (for resale)

All on £35/ month 12 month contact

N73 + 4gb nano = £140 + £90 (£230)
W810i + Tom Tom One = £80 + £130 (£210)
E900 + Wii = £80 + £215 (£295)

If so I might go for the E900 offer and pay just £55-£60) for the N95 at retail rate (supposedly £349)

edit - that co pilot offer looks quite tastey too.;)

edit damn all those offers I found are on a 18 month contract. :o

XDA Flame, when it's released if it already hasn't been.

Also the O2 XDA Atom Life is supposed to be expensive.

Isn't the Wii £179? Also why don't you just get a N95 when that comes out? Also a sim free N95 is going to be more than £350, I think it's £499.

I was looking at prices on the auction site, so £179 is the going rate, not such a good offer then. I explained earlier why I'd rather not get an N95 when its out.:) yes the forum I was reading mentioned £349 but that seems rather optimistic doesnt it.
