I was lucky enough to win a competition recently and it got me thinking about entering some more. There are loads around, from the huge Wildlife and Landscape Photographer of the Year competitions to smaller more local ones, but knowing about them is half the battle!

So with that in mind how about a thread of ongoing competitions you've come across (or have entered)?

One that was sent to me recently is the National Geographic Traveller Magazine competition.

1 entry per person and closing date of 15th December.

Looks good and the all important T&C are:

National Geographic Traveller (UK) will have the nonexclusive, perpetual right to use your image in connection with the contest and promotion of the contest, in any media now or hereafter known, including, but not limited to display at a potential exhibition of winners; publication of a supplement featuring select entries in the contest; publication in National Geographic Traveller (UK) magazine or online, highlighting entries or winners of the contest.
