Le Carre is my favorite author of all time. He was the model Englishmen for me and I think about him almost weekly, missing his measured cynicism, his dislike of populism and most of all his ability to write empowering and insightful books. I often muse on what he'd make of a new European war and how SIS has chosen to tackle it.

Obviously none of that will be talked about here as he passed in December of 2020, but nevertheless I'm excited to see how Errol Moss has framed his final interview.

Really enjoyed it. It's not quite sure what it wants to be at times and it tries to play itself off in too many directions when really an interview with Le Carre would have been entertaining enough, but it had some interesting ideas and just seeing the great man open up a little is rare treat.
