I was thinking of buying a another one and getting a pot of tipex to make a Newcastle Utd one (or notts county one) be cheaper and probably could sell more after all they are a bigger club :D, well thats what i used to get told lol

Anyway anyone seen the info on the 250GB PS3 out October retail prob about £300 with Fifa 10 and another game for some retailers. Its all rumour so far, but so was the slim. Talks of a GT5 bundle for early December have also surfaced.
 
Looking at getting my first PS3, slim version.

Do you have to buy a play and charge kit to charge the pad like on the 360 ??

After the initial cute and cool factor of a baby who really cares (360). The PS3 is like a ripened lass who is both beautiful, intelligent, and very successful.

The 360 is now just a loud brash shouting chav.

Extending that analogy - the 360 would a seemingly healthy but premature baby with multiple genetic defects, that was destined for an early death :p

Both good consoles, but the 360 still has the edge on the software, online play and achievements are just way better implemented on the 360. My 360 may have a slight hum to it when turned on but it really doesn't bother me, never hear it over the sound of whatever's playing anyway.

I now await for someone to say "But you gotta pay for XBL!" to which I respond "lol £25 a year"

Infact, the PS3 for me is all about Heavy Rain. That is the one thing it really has over the 360 for me, I am looking forward to Uncharted 2 but Heavy Rain is pretty much unlike anything I've seen before. (aside from their previous game, Fahrenheit)
 
Well I've had my lil slim for a few days now, and I love how quiet it is compared to my aged release-model 360 (which died coughing and spluttering before finally giving up with an RROD). The only thing I miss from the 360 is the extensive xbox marketplace, by comparison the playstation store is still in its infancy, unless im missing something.
 
I do think the thread could do with pruning as it's definately getting filled with crap since that video was posted, It would be an idea to clean up the thread, remove the video and comments, as to keep this thread on track.

I've put in the request to delete the off topic videos and posts referencing them, but the Don's always miss a few so RTM the ones they miss.

It's probably best to try to keep to on topic posts robert :)
 
Square Enix has confirmed there will be a FFXIII PS3 slim bundle but no other details.

So the question remains if it will be a white custom PS3 or a boring game in box bundle :p
 
Has anyone had an issue with their slim whereby it takes forever (like 10 seconds+) to sync controllers, headsets, keypad etc and sometimes it fails to sync completely? :confused:

I'm getting this issue! :(

Oh. My. God. I must be one of the unlucky ones then! :o Might need to give the place where I bought it a call. I swear. If I had to do another backup and restore of a PS3 I am going to implode! :mad:

Nope. That's it. I've had enough. It's definitely bust and it is subsequently going back. :( Can't believe it! I mean, just what the hell!! :( X1000

Had my 360 since launch and although i have enjoyed many hours on it i must say the slim pS3 trumps is in everyway, this is coming from someone who has never used a PS3 until buying my slim last week. Just everything about it is better, sleeker, smaller, better looking, much quieter, blu ray, wireless, re-chargeable pad, can use BRAVIA Sync with my tv, able to copy things to drive.
